The national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow weather warning the southwest, in particular for for Co. Kerry, due to strong winds and a risk of flooding.
The forecast says that gusts of wind of up to 100km/h are likely at times. Coupled with high seas, there will be a heightened risk of flooding along coastal areas.
People are advised to avoid standing or walking near the shore, to prevent possible accidents. :::
