Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall, covering counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, and Meath.
The national forecaster has said that up to 30mm of rain may fall there, which may lead to localized flooding.
Met Eireann added that we have likely seen the last of the summer weather for the year, with weather conditions set to worsen by the day. Tomorrow, Monday, is likely to be a rather wet and windy day, with temperatures of 16-18C max.
