The national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow warning for counties Donegal, Galway, and Mayo, with wind speeds of up to 100km/h predicted across many areas around these counties.
The warning will remain in place until 6pm today.
Looking ahead at the coming weekend, Met Eireann says that we’re in for a cold one, with low temperatures and widespread frost predicted.
