Met Eireann has just issued an urgent nationwide weather warning ahead of miserable conditions.
The Status Yellow rain and thunderstorm warning will be in place until 12pm on Thursday.
According to Met Eireann, many areas will see heavy downpours that might turn thundery at times. The national forecaster has warned of the possibility of localized flooding.
