Met Eireann has issued an urgent nationwide weather warning due to a freezing rain event.
The freezing rain is named so because the droplets freeze almost instantly upon touching a cold surface, which may lead to treacherous walking and driving conditions.
The warning will be in effect until noon tomorrow.
