Met Eireann has issued an urgent warning for nine counties as severe weather conditions are about to hit.
The warning, which affects counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Longford, Offaly, and Westmeath, will be in place until 9pm this evening.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties might be affected by thunderstorms and localized heavy showers, which might lead to hazardous driving conditions.
