Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning ahead of the arrival of cold and very wet weather.
The warning, which affects Connacht, Donegal, Clare, and Kerry, will kick in at 2pm today and remain in place for 24h.
The national forecaster is warning of heavy rain over the next 24h, which might lead to localized flooding.
Freezing temperatures are also expected overnight, with lows of -3C at times.
