Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning due to very strong winds and widespread heavy rain.
The warning, which covers the whole of Leinster, plus counties Cavan, Monaghan, Tipperary, and Waterford, will remain in place until 7pm this evening.
According to the national forecaster, many areas will experience heavy rain, strong winds, and possibly thunderstorms.
