Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for 14 counties as stormy conditions are forecast for the next 48h.
The Status Yellow weather warning will kick in at midnight on Monday and remain in place for 24h.
The warning affects counties Carlow, Kilkenny, and Wexford, plus the whole of Munster and Connacht.
The national forecaster is predicting heavy rainfall and very strong winds throughout Monday and Tuesday night.
