Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for 23 counties as severe weather is forecast.
The Status Yellow warning for rain and thunderstorms covers the whole of Leinster plus counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford.
The warning will remain in place until 10pm tonight.
