Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for five counties ahead of the arrival of thunderstorms overnight.
The warning, which covers counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, and Waterford, will kick in at 11pm tonight and remain in place until 9am on Sunday.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy showers and thunderstorms, which might lead to localized flooding and dangerous driving conditions.
