Gardaí have confirmed this afternoon that they’ve launched an investigation after the body of a young woman was found in a house in County Donegal.
The woman, who was in her 30s, was found at a property in Letterkenny shortly after 6pm on Friday night.
The Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the woman’s death. The house where the body was found has been cordoned off and an investigation launched.
The woman’s remains were removed from the scene and taken to the morgue at Letterkenny University Hospital, where an autopsy will be performed. A Garda spokesman has confirmed the details, but the woman’s identity or nationality has not yet been released.
A spokesman added that the results of the autopsy will determine the course of the investigation.
