Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for four counties ahead of the arrival of miserable conditions.
The warning, which covers counties Cork, Kerry, Galway, and Mayo will kick in at 10am on Thursday morning and remain in place until 8pm.
According to the warning, heavy rain and strong winds might cause localized flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
