Met Eireann have issued a yellow status snow and ice warning for three counties this evening as temperatures are expected to plummet overnight.
The national forecaster say the warning which came into effect at 5pm applies to counties Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim.
It is expected that driving conditions will be hazardous overnight and early tomorrow morning.
Met Eireann say the warning will remain in place until 11am tomorrow.
