Met Eireann predicts warm week ahead, with scattered outbreaks of rain and temperatures of up to 18C

Met Eireann has predicted a warm week ahead, with outbreaks of rain at times, and highs of 17-18C.

The rain will be most frequent across the east and north of the country.

A similar weather pattern will remain for the next 5 days, though temperatures are forecast to take a dip from Friday onwards.

Early indications point to an unsettled weather period taking hold from next weekend, with temperatures expected to be lower than the average for this time of year.
