There hasn’t been much of a summer this year yet, but hopefully all that is to change this week, at least temperature-wise at least.
The national broadcaster, Met Eireann is predicting a very warm high temperatures for the week with plenty of sunshine but the possibility of thunderstorms.
Today will see temperatures of up to 22C and dry weather overall.
Tomorrow will be even warmer, but heavy, thundery downpours are likely at times, particularly during the afternoon.
The middle of the week is expected to be rather hot, with temperatures reaching 25-26C, and possibly even higher during short periods, but unsettled weather will produce heavy showers too.
