Met Eireann say temperatures of up to 22C expected today and tomorrow

Finally it appears as though some summer weather may be on the way, just in time too as lockdown restrictions begin to lift.

The national forecaster is predicting temperatures of up to 22C tomorrow and Wednesday, but has also warned that unsettled weather will follow.

Tuesday will begin rather dull and cloudy, with some outbreaks of light rain in Connacht and Ulster, lasting until the evening in some areas of the latter.

Brighter conditions will develop from the south, as temperatures rise to highs of 21-22C in the afternoon.

Wednesday will see a reverse pattern of bright weather first and wetter conditions later. It will remain fairly mild, however, with temperatures hitting low 20s.

Weather experts are predicting wind and rain for Thursday and Friday, leading into an unsettled weekend, weather-wise.
