Met Eireann is saying that a white Christmas is looking increasingly unlikely, though some wintry falls might occur soon after.

According to the national forecaster, temperatures will be about average for the time of year, with no deep freeze or snow predicted for the big day.

However, colder weather might settle in from St. Stephen’s Day onwards, though there is much uncertainty still.
