Met Eireann is today saying that Ireland might see the hottest day of the year so far this week, as temperatures rise to the low to mid 20s.
According to the national forecaster, high pressure continues to dominate weather patterns, leading to settled conditions and mild temperatures.
The thermometer will gradually climb over the next few days, culminating in temperatures bordering 22C.
