Met Eireann is saying that temperatures will shoot up to double digits on Sunday and Monday, though colder weather will likely return by midweek.
According to the national forecaster, the thermometer will rise to 12-13C, with outbreaks of rain expected on Sunday.
The overall outlook is for unsettled weather leading up to Christmas weekend.
