Met Eireann has said that the weather will remain pretty dull and wet throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, but better conditions on the horizon too.

According to the national forecaster, Co. Donegal will see the worst of the weather today, while southern areas will remain relatively dry, with some bright spells at times.

Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday will not fare much better, with a mix of light showers and bright spells, and temperatures peaking at 14-15C.

The week ahead is looking better weather-wise anyway, as temperatures are expected to reach 17C or even higher at times. Met Eireann is also saying that Ireland might have a blast of summer-like weather in about 10 days or so as high pressure builds up.
