Met Eireann is today saying that there will be a 2-day summer-like period this week, but heavy rain appears set to return by the weekend.
According to the national forecaster, today and tomorrow are likely to be somewhat sunny and mild, with temperatures reaching 22C at times.
Sadly, that’s as far as summer goes, as Friday will be another wet and blustery day, with unsettled weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
