Met Eireann has upgraded a weather warning to Orange as very heavy rain is forecast from Tuesday night to Wednesday evening, with localized flooding very likely.

The warning, which covers counties Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow kicks in at 10pm tonight and will expire at midnight on Thursday.

According to the national forecaster, thundery downpours are possible at times.
