Met Eireann is today warning of a cold snap starting early next week, with temperatures expected to dip as low a -2C.
According to the national forecaster, things are set to take a turn for the worse by Tuesday as colder air moves over Ireland.
It will turn progressively colder as the week goes on, with frosty mornings and daytime temperatures remaining in single digits and the possibility of wintry showers at times.
