Met Eireann is today warning of a bad turn for the weather by Saturday, with widespread rain predicted.
According to the national forecaster, Thursday and Friday will remain mild and pleasant, with long sunny spells and temperatures reaching 17C.
Things will take a turn for the worse on Saturday however, as Ireland is in for a dull and overcast day, with persistent rain at times. Western areas are likely to see the worst of it.
More showers are expected on Sunday and Monday, though the latter day is likely to bring some sunny periods too.
