Met Eireann is today warning of changeable weather over the coming days, but temperatures set to reach 26-27C at times.
According to the national forecaster, southern and western areas will see the best of the weather.
The weather will become rather wet from Wednesday onwards, however, with heavy showers and the possibility of thunderstorms by evening and into Thursday.
Early indications show a somewhat improved weather pattern by the weekend, with drier conditions and just a few well scattered showers.
