Met Eireann is warning of freezing cold temperatures on Thursday night and over the coming days.
According to the national forecaster, thermometers will sink to -5C at times during the evening and overnight, leading to widespread frost formation and hazardous walking and driving conditions in the morning.
The only good news is that it will remain mostly dry, with just some isolated showers across the west and north.
