Met Eireann is this morning warning of frosty conditions for the coming days as temperatures plunge.
According to the national forecaster, thermometers will remain in single digits during the day from Tuesday, sinking back to -2C or -3C after dark.
Today, Monday, is expected to remain relatively mild, with daytime temperatures expected to rise to 11C by the afternoon.
