Met Eireann is warning of heavy showers throughout the day today, with the possibility of spot flooding in some areas.
According to the national forecaster, the weather will remain very unsettled for the next few days as a low pressure system moves across the country.
Temperatures will hit 19C at best today, falling back to around 10C at night.
A Status Yellow warning for rain and thunderstorms will be in place from 6pm tonight until 6pm on Saturday for Munster and Connacht.
