Met Eireann is warning of an icy blast starting tonight as snow is expected to fall across some parts of Ireland overnight.
According to the national forecaster, temperatures will drop to below zero in clear skies, with wintry showers of hail and sleet likely, falling as snow across high ground.
Lows of -3C and -4C are forecast for the next couple of nights.
