Met Eireann is warning of low temperatures of -4C tonight, with possible snowfalls later in the week.

Daytime temperatures today, Monday, will remain in single digits, rising to 5C or 6C at best. It’ll be a mostly dry and sunny day, but there will be some showers of rain and sleet at times, mostly in Munster and Leinster.

The outlook is for a very cold week, with daytime temperatures hovering at around 5C, and bitterly cold nights with sharp and hard frost.
