Met Eireann is warning of ‘sizzling’ (for Irish standards) conditions around midweek, with temperatures likely to hit 23C.

In the short term, the weather will remain rather muggy, with spells of cloudy and rain weather at times, but consistently warm throughout the coming week.

Meanwhile, Bank Holiday Monday is expected to be sunny overall, with very scattered outbreaks of light rain throughout the afternoon and evening, and temperatures hitting the low 20s.
