Met Eireann is warning of sub-zero temperatures again tonight, but milder conditions are forecast for next week.
According to the national forecaster, the thermometer will sink to -1C or -2C in most areas across Ireland, with the possibility of sleet and snow showers at times.
The forecast is somewhat better for the coming days, as high pressure will bring milder temperatures, but also the possibility of rain.
