Met Eireann is today warning of subzero temperatures as winter returns with a vengeance in a couple of days.
According to the national forecaster, the weather will turn by Sunday, bringing very cold temperatures for the following few days, with lows of -2C and -3C possible.
The cold snap looks set to last until Wednesday, and Met Eireann says that milder conditions will likely return after that.
