Met Eireann is warning of the ongoing possibility of flooding as heavy rain and strong winds continue to batter the country.
Stormy conditions will be predominant across much of the country throughout the day.
Two weather warnings will kick in today: A Status Yellow rainfall warning for Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry, and Limerick came into effect at midnight and will be in place until 6am on Friday.
A second Status Yellow warning for strong winds affecting Galway and Mayo kicked in at 10am and will remain in place until 4pm.
