At least three people are dead following a stabbing attack inside Notre Dame in France.
It is understood that two of the victims, an elderly man and an elderly woman, were decapitated. The third victim, a woman in her 40s, sustained serious injuries and managed to raise the alarm before succumbing to her wounds.
The perpetrator was shot and injured by police before being taken into custody. Sources say that the attacker was heard shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ during the incident, and as he was led away by authorities.
