Met Eireann is this morning warning of the possibility of wintry showers and even snow later this week.
According to the national forecaster, weather patterns will remain very unstable for the next few days, with plenty rain and cold temperatures.
Conditions will take a turn for the worse by Thursday, with wintry showers expected, and even sleet and snow, mostly on high ground.
The outlook is for miserable weather to continue into the weekend, with little in the way of Spring-like conditions.
