Met Eireann warns of wintry showers later this week as miserable conditions move in over Ireland again.
The first half of today will remain mostly dry and bright, but things will take a turn for the worse later in the day as a band of rain arrives from the Atlantic.
Wednesday is expected to be a changeable day, with dry conditions early in the day and showery rain later on.
Thursday and Friday will see the worst of the weather, with wintry showers on Thursday and heavy rain and wind on Friday, with temperatures sinking to about 3-4C.
Early indications are for a weekend of poor weather, with frequent showers and some bright spells at times, and temperatures reaching 11C at best.
