Met Eireann is this evening warning that weather conditions appear set to take a turn for the worse during the second half of June, with ‘wetter than normal’ weather likely.

According to the national forecaster, low pressure is likely to dominate weather patterns from June 16 onwards, which may cause some heavy showers at times, though temperatures will likely remain above average.

Meanwhile, the approaching Bank Holiday weekend is forecast to be rather mild and dry, with temperatures possibly reaching 30C in some areas at times.
