Met Office has extended its warning for extreme heat for an extra day, as temperatures are expected to rise beyond 40C in the UK for the first time ever.

The warning, which was originally issued for Sunday, July 17th, will now remain in place at least until Tuesday July 19th.

People are being advised to stay indoors for the duration of the event.
