The Met Office has issued a severe warning about the coming heat, as temperatures might rise to 40C for the first time ever in the UK.

Forecasters are advising people to ‘take things seriously’, as such high temperatures might pose some health risks.

According to the Met Office, Sunday will will mark the start of a prolonged hot spell, with thermometers expected to rise to the high 30s or possibly beyond in some areas around the south of England.
