The death toll has risen to 9, and about 150 people are still unaccounted for, following the collapse of an apartment block in Miami early on Thursday morning.
It is understood that eight bodies have been retrieved from the rubble, while a ninth victim died at the hospital.
Officials say that the death toll is expected to rise significantly.
