Migrant arrested after 2-yr-old baby boy snatched from his pram in his mother’s front garden in Dublin

Gardai have arrested a migrant after an apparent attempt to abduct a 2-yr-old child in Dublin city on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened outside the child’s home just after 1pm on Sheriff Street where the man grabbed the child by the arm as his mother was bringing groceries into the house.

The child’s mother went back into the house to get something but left the door open and noticed a man outside.

He appeared to be taking the toddler from the buggy and shouted “I am taking your baby”.

A person nearby also shouted at the man and the mother confronted him and ran at him with a brush.

Local heroes thankfully intervened when the man tried to leave the scene and held him down until the gardaĆ arrived shortly after.

A man, The Liberal understands is a migrant, aged in his 20s was arrested and detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardai say an investigation is underway.

Today’s events are just another indication of how the government is failing the citizens of Ireland.
