Migrant crisis continues, after 15 people are rescued from the back of a Cork-bound truck -one Irish man arrested

The migrant crisis continues, after fifteen people were rescued from the back of a Cork-bound truck in England. An Irish man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

It is understood that a truck was stopped on the A350 motorway near Chippenham in Wiltshire on Wednesday, after a member of the public spotted some ‘suspicious activity’ on the vehicle.

The Irish Mirror reports that the truck in question is owned and operated by Delaney Transport international, which is based in Glanmire, Co Cork.

The Delaney driver contacted British authorities after discovering the people in the back of the truck. He was taken away for questioning, but early reports suggest that he was not aware of the stowaways.
