Weather conditions have been pretty dire over the last few days, with freezing temperatures, heavy rain, and strong winds.
Things are set to take a turn for the better from today onwards, as milder weather is on the way. Today, Friday, will be a mostly bright and sunny day, with scattered outbreaks of rain in coastal areas across the north and west of the country.
Saturday will bring in a mix of bright weather and showers, with temperatures reaching 8-9C, while Sunday is expected to see highs of about 11-12C in places.
The chances of a White Christmas are diminishing by the day, so many might be disappointed.
