Minister for Transport and Green Party leader, Eamon Ryan has outlined his plans for re-opening public transport to full pre-covid -19 capacity.
Currently public transport is running at 75% capacity and this will be increased to full capacity next Wednesday.
Mr Ryan told the Irish Times the resumption of full public transport services would resume from next Wednesday, (1st September) following agreement by the Cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday.
On RTE’ radio This Week programme, he said Government was “unwinding restrictions stage by stage” but Covid-19 was “not going to go away”.
