The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has confirmed that Ireland has donated over 300,000 Covid-19 vaccines to Uganda.
In a tweet Donnelly said: “On the way! A flight has left Ireland for Uganda with a third of a million vaccines (+consumables to administer them) Vaccine solidarity and equal access is a priority and we’ll be donating 1-2 million more vaccines through #Covax in the coming months.”
