The chair of the Irish Epidemiological Modelling Advisory Group Professor Philip Nolan has revealed that the Covid-19 incidence rate amongst young children is falling.
In a tweet Nolan said: “Incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children 5-12 years is falling, and approaching what it was before schools opened, while we’re still testing at over 3 times rate we had in mid-August.”
“Cases in this age group last week (1,866) down 15% on the preceding (2,207).”
