The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has praised the public for their continued efforts as the number of Covid-19 cases continue to drop.
In a series of tweets the Minister for Health said there are number of reasons to be positive in terms of the fight against Covid-19 and that the public must be thanked for their efforts.
Donnelly said the fall in cases can’t be just be attributed to vaccines alone as the public have played their part by continuing to follow public health guidelines.
Although the Health Minister said that there is still a great deal of risk – the country is doing well and what the public has done has been a huge achievement.
He added that it is important that we stick with the measures as the vaccination programme continues.
