The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that everyone in the country could be offered a Covid-19 vaccine by September.
Speaking in the Dail, the Health Minister said that current plans are based on vaccine supply and the approval of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine which will have an approval decision on the 29th of January.
Meanwhile Minister Donnelly also confirmed that a total of 121,900 people have received the first dose of the vaccine.
It is understood that 73,100 vaccines have been administered to frontline healthcare staff and a further 48,800 have been administered to staff and residents at long term care facilities.
